(Summary description)Silica brick is made of silicon carbide, mullite or bauxite clinker as raw materials and sintered at high temperature. The main crystal phases of this material are corundum, mullite and silicon carbide, and contain a small amount of cristobalite. Because of its good wear resistance, high mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance and thermal shock stability, it can be widely used in various parts of the cement rotary kiln except the firing zone. Predecessors have conducted more systematic studies on various multiphase materials composed of corundum, mullite, and silicon carbide as the main crystal phases.
